TWO YEARS OLD

We went and got Ice cream with the Shurtleffs and Priya got to open a birthday gift from Mauck and Papa. She loves her new skirt. She calls it her pinning kirt (spinning skirt). When ever she puts it on she says, "mama I need music."

This is Priya's birthday cake at the Garner party. I was going to make her a fancy kung fu panda cake but all she wanted was sprinkles, so that is just what she got.

Two years have gone so quickly. Matt and I have found a lot of joy from this little girl. She keeps us laughing.

A few things she has said in the past few week I have been meaning to write down....

.....During a very heavy rain storm, "Mom it is leaking outside"

..... Hillary asks, "Priya what church do you belong to?"
Response "The Church of the Evening Sky."

We later had a FHE lesson about the Church we belong to.
We learned the song I Belong to The Church of Jesus Christ. Priya sings this song often
now but she changed a few of the words, as follows.

I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints.
I know who I am,
I Know God bless me forever.

Summer Time June 2010

The highlight of our day is often a walk or a bike ride to feed the horses, alpaca, goats, or miniture horses. Our town is like a petting zoo, we love it. Priya is very good at feeding the animals.

I love this face! Water has been a favorite of Priya's. She is a little fish.

Waiting for baby Liam

For a week maybe two at the end of May we were so lucky and got a lot of Wiseman cousin time.
We were waiting for baby Liam to come. Liam was on his own time frame and gave us plenty of time to entertain the older children. We kept them busy or maybe it was the other way around.

We.... played play dough, made bead necklaces, went to the duck pond, the Temple, on lots of walks, and much more I am starting to forget(thats why I need to post things when they happen not two months later). Priya and I sure had a good time with her cousins and my sister that we don't see nearly enough.

Liam eventually did come out, as all babies do. All along he was waiting to share a birthday with his aunt Hillary, he was born May 25th. Megan was kind enough to let me be at Liam's birth. It was the best birthday ever.

duck pond

This got Priya laughing. "What are those ducks doing mom?"

More Childrens Museum

I had to put this picture of handsome Gabe in.
Man Megs you sure have a cute boy.
Gabe loved the Helicopter.

Cute group of kids man. This Picture is about 2 hours past Priyas nap time and she was still going strong.

I love this Picture because this is my little girl. She is such a nurturer and takes very good care of every baby she sees. The water works station was her favorite until she found the babies.

Childrens Museum May 2010

We went to the Children's Museum in Salt Lake. Their is so much to see and do, it was great. As far as Priya was concerned the enrire museum could have been this water works station she could have stayed there all day.

We did find other activities Priya like but the Helicopter below was not one of them. You could push a button that made the helicopter sound like it was starting. Loud noises are not really her thing she doesn't even like helicopters when they are in the sky. All of her cousins on the other hand thought the Helicopter was pretty awesome.

Mothers Day

Shawn, Whitney, and Pearl came for Mothers day.
Matt and Shawn made us a delicious dinner. Thanks Dads!

We were going to take pictures on the swing with our adorable
smiling children that give us the privilege of being mothers when mine
got hurt. Her picture taking grin making mode was over. We decided
this would work as an appropriate mothers day photo since a lot of time
spent as a mother is giving comforting hugs.

Priya and Pearl the girl band, they like to make noise

We finished our evening with blowing dandelions ,
one of the magical parts of childhood.

Our Garden

I know I am a little behind because we are now
harvesting the fruits of this day. We did plant a garden
back in May. It started with a lot of weeds WOW!

Priyas self assigned job was to entertain the worms.
Every worm she came across was placed on the sidewalk
so it could go on a walk. I kept overhearing her sweet voice saying,
"go on the side walk little wormy, you go on a walk."
I had to step in and rescue a few worms being tested for their stretchiness .

The darling helper. She picked her own gardening outfit.

Now the real fun begins, planting. Priya helped plant the peas which
are now her favorite thing to eat from the garden. Every morning we
go check for new peas, this is her first course of breakfast.
She eats peas faster than we can grow them.
Remember the next round of peas need to be doubled.

Quote from Priya, "mmm, I'm a lucky girl to eat these peas!"

FAMILY PAINTING

This was back in May. We rolled out one big piece of
paper and all of us went to work to make a family
collaboration.

It got a little messy. Bath time!

Our work is complete and now it brightens our living room.

A little more Arches

I really enjoyed this camping trip. Arches is a great place
for kids. I think we might go back again this fall when it
cools off a bit.

This was a very interesting puddle

Cousins and Camping

The sand hill was a hit.

Priya, Ava, Gabe, Ila, Sophia, Emma

What a fun group of kids. They had such a great time together.
I know Priya slept better with all that hiking around then
she ever does at home.

Breakfast at the kid table

Aunt Megan Sophia and Gabe, oh and baby Liam who was
there too just ask Megan, she hiked him all over the place.

Here they are planning their next adventure, I do recall all of them
jumping up to explore some cool rocks shortly after this picture was taken.
